Islands in the kitchen are very popular these days, and it’s easy to see why: they provide extra counter space, as well as a great spot to sit and have breakfast, lunch, or a cup of coffee. If you are not fortunate enough to have a kitchen that came with an island already built-in, you’ll be glad to know that you can buy stand alone islands. There are even some compact models that are more likely to fit into small kitchens.

If you have the room for it, a kitchen island can be a great addition to your kitchen. It’s always good to have extra counter space, and an island provides just that. If the island is big enough, it can also serve as a breakfast or lunch table when combined with stools. And if it incorporates a pull-out trash can, all the better. It’s always practical to have your trash can close at hand.

Paper towel holder for cabinet door
If you like the idea of keeping your paper towel dispenser out of sight, then a model that mounts to the inside of a cabinet door is probably the way to go. If you measure your cabinet doors and find that they are not wide enough to accommodate a standard holder and paper towel roll, then you could look into the models that hold the roll vertically. They are less common, and so a bit harder to find, but if they are the best solution for you, then it is worth the extra time and effort to find one.
