Buying a mattress can be a tricky thing. It’s not something you want to buy without trying first, except if you already know from experience that you like certain brands and degrees of firmness. Even when you try mattresses at the store, it is a rather artificial experience that may not tell you what you need to know. Some people know that they like memory foam mattresses, and in particular, the gel-type of memory foam. This, at least, makes picking a mattress somewhat easier.

Purple bedding set – Queen
If you’re looking to redo your bedroom space but don’t have a lot of money to spend on new furniture, try a simpler approach. If you have a dark colored bedding set, dark purple for example, paint the wall behind the bed a shade or two lighter than the bedding while painting the rest of the walls a monotone color like grey or off-white/cream. This will make your bedroom pop with color and style.

Traditionally, one might say that the darker shades of purple are more masculine colors, while the lighter shades are more feminine. Personally, I find dark purple to be gender-neutral.
Boat toddler bed
