Apparently, being in a squatting position allows for a better and faster pooping experience. And these types of platforms seems to be gaining popularity, so there may be something to them. They seem to me like something that wouldn’t be too hard to make yourself, if you are handy with wood and nails. The trick would be to make sure the platform isn’t in the way when it is not being used. That’s why the curved design in important.
