Why get a tabletop TV stand? For one thing, extra height. Although you may be happy with the table, shelf or console you use for your TV, it may not allow you to place the set at the ideal viewing height. This is a question of preference. Some like to look up to the TV, while some like a straight-ahead or slightly low angle. Another reason is space. A table top stand lets you place one or two (depending on the width of the stand) components under the television without losing any space.
