Wheeled hampers are pretty practical for rolling back and forth to and from your bedroom to the bathroom or down the hall to pick up your kids’ dirty laundry. I can’t think of any advantage a round hamper would have over a square or rectangular one, so the shape you choose comes down to taste. Some come with a lid. Look for a sturdy frame, heavy duty wheels, and a large capacity to hold lots of laundry.
