String lights on a porch, balcony or even hanging from a tree can give a festive atmosphere to any nighttime gathering. Some of them are even solar powered. But do check reviews before you buy so that you know how long (at least approximately) the lights will stay on once fully charged. Also be sure to check the size of the actual lanterns, as they may look bigger than they actually are in certain photographs.
