Getting into yoga can be a life changer both physically and emotionally. But before these changes can take place, there are three fundamental things you need to do. First is to find out what kind of yoga style you would like to engage in. Second is to find a good yoga instructor through word of mouth if possible. And thirdly, find a good yoga mat that is right for you. There are thin yoga mats, thick yoga mats and extra thick yoga mats. Typically, a sticky yoga mat, which is thin, offering little padding is traditionally the type of mat for beginners. If you are unsure of which mat type to get, talk to your yoga instructor and they should be able to help you choose one that is right for you.
