Cleaning out a cat’s litter box may not be on your list of favorite things to do, but for the health and happiness of your cat, it is an important necessity none the less. Which is why some cat advocates frown upon the covered cat little box. While it may seem to be an efficient way to keep your cat’s business from wafting through the house, there are concerns that covered cat litter boxes may actually be cleaned less often than a regular open litter box since the cover conceals the mess inside. The old out of sight, out of mind, adage comes to mind here, which may cause you to forget to clean out the box with more regularity.
