Kids cleaning toys

One of my favorite things to do when I was a child was to use the vacuum-cleaner. It was taller than I was, but that didn’t stop me. If your child seems to like cleaning up, you could encourage them to learn good tidying-up habits by giving them cleaning toys. Things like toy brooms, mops, buckets, brushes, dust-pans and vacuum cleaners, all kid-sized. My love of vacuuming didn’t carry on into adulthood, but it was fun at the time.

Wooden toy food

If your children already have a play-kitchen, and love to pretend to make meals, or if they like to play store and pick out things to put in their toy shopping basket, they should also have some play-food. Some toy food resembles food that has already been prepared (like an omelet, or a cake), while some looks like packaged food you would get at the store. There are plastic or wood versions of these toys.

Kids chemistry kit

Kids love to discover things, and if those discoveries happen to educate them, all the better. A chemistry set is one of those things that will not only fascinate and entertain your children, but also teach them a few things the world around them and how it works. Some kits are smaller and more specialized, while others are larger, but usually more expensive. Either kind will surely be appreciated by your little genius in the making.
