Back in the seventies, one of the most popular battery powered guitar amps was the Pignose. For a portable amp, it had enough juice to play loud in the streets and was a favorite of many buskers. These days, there are a lot more battery powered guitar amps made by popular manufacturers like Fender and Marshall. And as technology has moved forward there are a lot more bells and whistles in a portable amp than one could have ever imagined twenty years ago.
